I am writing an eposter for the SAS Global Forum User group conference. I am writing about PROC IMPORT and different versions of SAS and different versions of Excel and different bit versions 32 and 64. The conference is in Denver and my boss has not yet approved the travel.

I write in SAS everyday at work. I often document my SAS code as I write it. I also often spend dedicated time writing comments and documenting as part of overall project time. But this needs to happen for any computer language writing not just statistics programming with SAS.

I have written a few papers for conferences since forming this company and one of these was about documenting computer programs. I have also continued to do other related writing tasks such as helping other authors. I continue to document my own code at work and see how that works. Others at my workplace also push documentation.
